Dynamic fractional frequency reuse (D‐FFR) for multicell OFDMA networks using a graph framework

Abstract: A graph‐based framework is proposed in this paper to implement dynamic fractional frequency reuse (D‐FFR) in a multicell Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) network. FFR is a promising resource‐allocation technique that can effectively mitigate intercell interference (ICI) in OFDMA networks. The proposed D‐FFR scheme enhances the conventional FFR by enabling adaptive spectral sharing as per cell‐load conditions. Such adaptation has significant benefits in practical systems where traffic loads… Show more

“…However, radio resource allocation problem in dynamic ICIC schemes is known to be NP-hard [29,30]. Accordingly, several heuristics have been proposed to solve the optimization problem such as: game theory [31][32][33][34], graph coloring [26,35], genetic algorithms [36], fuzzy logic [37], etc.…”

“…Subsequently, the casualty MUE applies the limit furthermore permitting to different HeNodeBs (interferer) to reuse field. A diversion hypothesis based impedance relief procedure has proposed which is mostly vitality based and utilizes the handover bolstered convention [12]. The impedance has decreased by the shared guide to diminish energy utilization which focuses on enhancing channel state and also building framework limit.…”

“…Appropriate radio resource administration (RRM) strategies for Interferences mitigation are required. The recurrence OFDMA resource assignment is the key elements to alleviate interference [10][11][12]. The thickness of femtocells orders the deployable femtocell zones, and conjunction of femtocells and macrocell to moderate, diverse wellsprings of impedances and to guarantee the best usage of the range [6].…”

“…This FFR-like strategy leads to increased data rates and mitigated ICI. Chang et al [14] divide the cell area like [13] to improve system's capacity and data rates, while no CSI is considered at the receiver side. In [15], the cell is partitioned to mitigate ICI and improve the receivers' performance.…”
