ECG Signal Reconstruction via Doppler Sensor by Hybrid Deep Learning Model With CNN and LSTM

Abstract: An Electrocardiogram (ECG) is a typical method used to detect heartbeat, and an ECG signal analysis enables the detection of some heart diseases. However, the ECG-based heartbeat detection requires device attachment, which is not preferred for daily use. A Doppler sensor could be a device used to enable the non-contact heartbeat detection. In this paper, we propose a Doppler sensor-based ECG signal reconstruction method by a hybrid deep learning model with Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Long Short-Term… Show more

“…Furthermore, radar information for reconstructing the ground truth PPG signal is also a possible threat. Yamamoto et al [145] explored the potential to reconstruct the ECG signal using the information collected by the doppler sensor. However, no researcher has used it for the reconstruction of PPG signals.…”

“…Vital-sign-sensing methods using radars [6]- [9] and optical cameras [10]- [12] to achieve contactless heartbeat monitoring have already been investigated. In addition to their ability to acquire the displacement signals from subjects without contact, radar methods can protect privacy and measure signals regardless of ambient brightness [13], [14].…”
