In recent years, ecological design has emerged as an innovative approach for landscape designs to address urban environmental issues such as biodiversity protection and the promotion of ecosystem services. However, in developing countries like Vietnam, an ecological approach is still in its early stages and requires more research and practical application. This study aims to explore stakeholder perspectives and identify suitable ecological landscape approaches through semi-structured interviews based on designed images. The findings reveal various challenges to implementing ecological designs in the public green spaces of Hue City, such as the prioritisation of short-term goals over ecosystem services, solely focusing on increasing green per capita, the lack of market interest, and the lack of motivation among different departments responsible for the design and management of public green spaces. In addition, the study also finds that stakeholders are willing to accept a hybrid ecological landscape approach in combination with ‘cues to care’ landscapes, such as buffer zones of well-managed vegetation or regularly cut lawns. Results highlight the necessity of prioritising ecosystem services in decision-making, policy, and planning development concerning urban green spaces in Vietnamese cities. In addition, education and awareness campaigns are needed for the public and stakeholders to increase acceptance of ecological design.

Street corridor landscape is an important part of open space for city sustainability but is often neglected in urban development. Road corridors, connecting urban spaces can act as city gates because they provide a visual impact on the city. Urban road corridors are places for people with different social backgrounds, ages, and genders to engage in activities. The road corridor should play an important role in shaping the image of the city because it becomes a visual display case for the city gate. This article aims to find out the researchers’ views on the eco-design concept of road corridor landscapes that form the image of the city. The eco-design concept was proposed as an answer to the environmental, energy efficiency, and sustainability issues that are currently emerging, this is in line with the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals. This paper uses a qualitative descriptive method, describing secondary data from research journals about the concept of ecodesign. The conclusion shows that the urban road corridor landscape can be arranged and improved with an eco-design concept strategy to improve the image of the city towards a sustainable city.

The destination is the foundation for tourism endowment activities; however, the majority of relevant studies focus on how to develop and build tourism endowment destinations, with little attention paid to site selection, particularly the construction of a scientific evaluation system for tourism endowment destinations. A relatively scientific evaluation system will aid in guiding tourism endowment's work, contribute to the region's tourism endowment industry's development, and improve the quality of life for urban residents and tourists. Taking China as an example, this paper compiles previous research on livable, endowment, remote endowment, and pension tourism, and uses Delphi and Logarithmic Fuzzy Priority Programming-Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (LFPP-FAHP) to develop an evaluation index system for tourism endowment destinations using the tourism endowment index (TEI). This index system consists of three criterion layers, ten field layers, and 35 index layer indexes for endowment living environment, ecological environment, and tourism environment, and these indexes have been modified using the Delphi method to be beneficial for the construction and research of tourism endowment index, industry, and destination.
