Truancy is an undisciplined behavior in the form of absence in the learning process. This behavior is one form of student delinquency. It does not deal if truancy with it can have a bad impact and become a habit that led to students. Therefore, we need a technique or method to reduce truancy behavior. The technique of self management is one technique of changing behavior. Through selfmanagement techniques that are implemented, it is hope that individual truant behavior can be reduced. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of self-management techniques to reduce truant behavior. The research subjects were seven students of class VIII of Muhammadiyah Middle School 4 Singosari Malang. This research is a Quasi Experiment study using the Pretest-Posttest One Group design. The instrument used in this study was the scale of truant behavior, experimental guidelines, and observation guidelines. Data analysis using Wilcoxon (Wilcoxon's Signed Rank Test). The results showed that the score of truant pre-test behavior was 31.2 (high category), while the post-test results showed a score of 17 (medium category). And based on the results of the Wilcoxon test got a significant of 0.018 <0.05 means that the effective self-management technique to reduce truancy behavior.

<em>Masa pandemi Covid-19 seperti PSBB dan PPKM memunculkan banyak perubahan pada sektor pendidikan, seperti kegiatan belajar-mengajar hingga layanan bimbingan sekolah dilaksanakan secara virtual. Kebijakan untuk sekolah dari rumah membuat siswa harus beradaptasi dengan situasi dan suasana baru. Ketidakmampuan siswa dalam beradaptasi menimbulkan problem akademik dan kesehatan mental, seperti stress dan menurunnya motivasi belajar siswa. Banyaknya problematika yang muncul selama pandemi ini menjadi tantangan baru bagi guru-guru layanan bimbingan dan konseling sekolah, salah satunya yakni menggunakan bimbingan konseling kelompok dengan teknik self-regulation demi meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Riset ini memiliki tujuan guna melihat efektivitas layanan bimbingan konseling kelompok dengan teknik self-regulation demi meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, melalui metode kualitatif literature review. Hasil literature review menunjukkan bahwa layanan bimbingan konseling kelompok dengan teknik self-regulation terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa.</em>

This study aims to describe the capacity of teachers to understand educational psychology and student character during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research method uses literature study. The object of this research is the capacity of teachers and the psychology of children's education. The research subject is the teacher. The data collection tool in this research is to search for journals contained in several electronic media such as digital libraries, internet, through Google Scholar. The data analysis technique used in this research is annotated bibliography analysis. The results show that the capacity of teachers to understand the psychology of children's education during the Covid-19 pandemic can be realized through problem solving methods. The steps of the problem solving method in the psychological education of children are carried out in 4 ways, namely problem orientation, problem identification, alternative choices, decision making, and verification. Meanwhile, the learning provided by teachers during the pandemic in character education is making learning modules containing character, teachers can be able to create interesting online learning content for students, giving independent assignments containing character, implementing character education in online learning, good communication between teachers with parents, and provide rewards for positive activities carried out by students to motivate.
