“…The range of the participants’ age across the trials was from 5 to 80 years. Among the eligible studies, 232 participants with knee pathology (knee osteoarthritis, 9,23–25,27,32 knee pain, 30 and anterior cruciate ligament injury 29 ) were included in eight studies; 155 participants who had suffered from a stroke 2,11,28,34,35,40 were included in six studies; 60 participants suffering from cerebral palsy 37,39 were included in two studies; and 188 participants with one of the following conditions, namely Parkinson’s disease, 26 juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, 38 senile osteoporosis, 36 diabetic peripheral neuropathy, 33 and low back pain, 31 were included in the remaining five studies. In all of the studies, the treatment period ranged from one week to 12 weeks.…”
