Effective Lagrangian for two-photon and two-gluon decays ofP-wave heavy quarkoniumχc0,2andχ

Abstract: In the traditional non-relativistic bound state calculation, the two-photon decay amplitudes of the P -wave χc0,2 and χ b0,2 states depend on the derivative of the wave function at the origin which can only be obtained from potential models. However by neglecting the relative quark momenta, the decay amplitude can be written as the matrix element of a local heavy quark field operator which could be obtained from other processes or computed with QCD sum rules technique or lattice simulation. Following the same … Show more

“…For 1S and 2S states, computed di-gamma widths Γ 0 (r 0 ) at finite quark-antiquark separation without radiative correction are in good agreement with the experimental results while for χ c 0 state the results are slightly off from the experimental results but are in agreement with the other model predictions [45,59]. The di-gamma decay width Γ OR -(r 0 ) predicted for 1 3 P 2 state at finite quark-antiquark separation matches well with the experimental result, while the decay width Γ OR (0) agrees well with the experimental result.…”

“…The decay of χ c1 → γγ is forbidden by the Landau-Yang theorem [3]. Theoretical predictions on the decay rates are obtained using a non-relativistic approximation [4,5], potential model [6], relativistic quark model [7,8], nonrelativistic QCD factorization framework [9], effective Lagrangian [10], as well as lattice calculations [11]. The predictions for the ratio R ≡ Γγγ (χc2) Γγγ (χc0) cover a wide range values between 0.09 and 0.36 [6,8].…”

“…Various theoretical methods and estimates of two-photon and two-gluon annihilation rates are available in literature. [58][59][60][61][62][63] The radiative E1 transition rates for P -and D-wave cc and bb mesons were calculated using Eq. (20).…”
