Electric machine design and selection for General Motors e-Assist Light Electrification Technology

Abstract: Abslracl-The integrated starter generator replaces conven tional starter and alternator with one electrical machine handling both functions. StartlStop functionality, vehicle launch ass istance and higher spee d transient power supplementing enhances the vehicle performance at the lower fuel consumption rate.
