“…In NaOH solution, the pipeline steel demonstrates passivity with a passive current density of 10 -6 A/cm 2 , whereas in NACE and NS4 solutions this pipeline steel does not passivate. Luo et al [14] studied the electrochemical behavior of X90 pipeline steel in NS4 solution and found a typical characteristic of anodic dissolution with no passivation phenomenon in NS4 solution. They found that the polarization resistance and the corrosion resistance increase when proceeding of the polarization time, while the corrosion current density decreases.…”
