Electromagnetic moment investigation of two short-lived isomeric states in118Sb

Abstract: Two short-lived isomeric states in llSSb have been investigated by the 11SSn(p,n), 11aSn(d, 2n) and a~SIn(~, n) reactions. The TDPAD method on solid and liquid metallic targets was used to measure the electromagnetic moments of these states Pure [zc2ds/2|and [rclg9/~ | configurations have been established for the two isomeric states. An experimental evidence concerning the participation of the lg9/~ proton shell-model intruder excitation into the positive parity lowlying level structure of the odd-odd ~lsSb n… Show more

“…Besides the state investigated in the present work, several other 7 + states with measured electromagnetic moments are presently known in odd-odd nuclei near Z= 50: l~176 [16] 47Ag [17], t06 l12T ~18qh51 oU [9,21]. All these moments are displayed in Fig.…”

“…Much experimental work has been performed to obtain information about the level properties and shape-coexistence phenomenon in odd-odd Sb isotopes [1][2][3]. Recently, the measurement of the electric quadrupole moment of the 7 § isomer in ~16Sb revealed an existing deformation/~ = 0.2 [4].…”
