“…Preliminary study of polymer solution concentrations of CA and PEO Han et al 18 reported that CA electrospun fibers could be fabricated from a 17% (w/v) of CA in 75% acetic acid, whereas Wongsasulak et al 9 reported that the same could be prepared using a solution of 17% (w/v) CA in 85% acetic acid. The effects of both solvents as well as that of neat acetic acid (99.99%) were investigated, as shown in Figures 1a-c. CA in 75% (Figure 1a) and 85% (Figure 1b) (v/v) acetic acid solutions resulted in beaded fibers with diameters on the nanometer-length scale.…”

“…In addition to these, cellulose acetate membrane has a porous physical structure, which helps in the movement of both ions and water molecules toward the sample or in the opposite direction. [31][32][33][34] As seen in Table 2, the concentration of SPS salt immobilised onto the cellulose acetate membrane gives an impression of the response slope when tested at various concentrations of KCl solution and pH of the solution when the solid-state reference electrode was coupled with the standard Ag/AgCl reference electrode with double junction type. In this work, the solid-state reference electrode functioned as a working electrode.…”

“…15,16,47 The porous form of cellulose acetate membrane also contributed to the onset of the process of leaching of SPS salts from the cellulose acetate matrix. [29][30][31][32][33][34] From Figure 5, it can be observed that the stability of the solidstate reference electrode was initially low and started to degrade after 35 h.…”

“…Cellulose compounds are considered as an important structural material of plants and it is the most abundant organic polymer on Earth. Properties such as biodegradability, abundance, thermal stability and chemical resistance of Cellulose Acetate (CA) nanofibres have led to employ them in many biomedical applications, selfcleaning textiles andsmart fabrics, reinforced nano composites, and inareas such as biotechnology, agriculture, environmental engineering, defense and security, energy storage and generation (Chen et al,2007;Han et al;2008, Konwarh et al 2013). In the context of fabricating nanofibres, electrospining technique is one of the simplest methods to produce nanofibres suitable for many applications.…”
