This study examines the role of the mining industry in promoting positive peace in post-onflict West Aceh, using qualitative content analysis of secondary data sources such as media and documentation. The findings reveal a significant gap between the current trajectory of the mining sector and aspirations for long-term peace. While the mining industry has transformative potential, its progress is marred by ecological damage and social injustices, particularly conflicts between local communities and mining companies over land tenure and environmental impacts. This study proposes a socially inclusive approach to mining development that balances economic benefits with sustainable peacebuilding. Key recommendations include stronger environmental regulations, increased community participation in all phases of mining projects, and robust conflict resolution mechanisms. This study is limited by its reliance on secondary data, which may not fully capture local nuances and may be biased by media sources. Further research with primary data collection is recommended to validate and extend these findings.

Introduction. Timely detection and prevention of burnout syndrome in various occupational groups is an urgent task of occupational health, since this condition directly affects the health, working capacity, and quality of life in workers. The purpose of the study. an analytical review of Russian literature on the prevalence, risk factors, and prevention of burnout syndrome in various occupational groups and the definition of criteria for the formation of risk groups. The search for articles was carried out using information portals including eLibrary.ru, CyberLeninka, PubMed, Medscape, Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science. Inclusion criteria: search depth of eleven years (2012–2022), Russian original full-text articles in open access. Initially, one thousand eight hundred sixty five publications were identified, of which 38 cohort selected that met the inclusion criteria. A high prevalence of burnout was revealed among health workers, educators, IT-specialists and law enforcement officials, slightly less among aviation service specialists, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, media workers, bank employees, and miners. There are discussed leading risk factors for the development of burnout among employees in various fields of activity. A number of studies have studied the neurophysiological characteristics of patients with burnout syndrome, showing the relationship between burnout and affective disorders. Many studies discuss various approaches to the prevention and treatment of burnout syndrome, but the effectiveness of the proposed methods is evaluated only in a few studies. In modern conditions, there is a need for further research, conceptualization and systematization in managing job burnout.

Introduction. Emotional burnout is a condition common among workers in “helping” occupations. The syndrome of emotional burnout among workers of the main occupations of the coal industry has not been studied enough, especially in terms of its relationship with such indicators of mental health as personal, situational anxiety and alexithymia. The relationship between emotional burnout syndrome and risk factors for the development of cardiovascular diseases has not been sufficiently studied. The purpose of the study to investigate the relationship of emotional burnout syndrome with the level of personal, situational anxiety and alexithymia, and the frequency of risk factors for the development of cardiovascular diseases, such as smoking, overweight, arterial hypertension and low physical activity in coal industry workers with occupational diseases. Materials and methods. Two hundred seventy-two coal miners with occupational diseases (dust lung pathology, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, vibration disease) were examined using questionnaires by V.V. Boyko, Spielberger-Khanin, and Toronto Alexithymia Scale. According to the survey, the frequency of smoking and low physical activity was determined, the frequency of arterial hypertension and overweight was identified by the results of a clinical examination. Results. The prevalence of emotional burnout syndrome was 27.9%. A higher frequency of personal anxiety (61.1%), situational anxiety (57.1%) and alexithymia (94.7%) was revealed in emotional burnout syndrome. The frequency of smoking, arterial hypertension tended to increase with emotional burnout, the frequency of overweight, and low physical activity did not differ. Limitations. The study was limited to a sample of 272 coal miners with occupational diseases, examined using questionnaires by V.V. Boyko, Spielberger-Khanin, and Toronto Alexithymia Scale. Conclusions. Emotional burnout syndrome is associated with the development of personal and situational anxiety, alexithymia and may be a risk factor for the development of cardiovascular diseases.
