“…For instance, exposure at 25 μg/ml of AgNPs (6-20 nm in size) induced chromosomal aberrations in 10 % of the IMR-90 normal cell line and in 20 % of the U251 cancer cell line. The DNA damage, chromosomal aberrations, and cell cycle arrest raise the concern [35]. The dose response shows an increase in DNA damaging effect with higher the treatment nanoparticle concentration.…”

“…To overcome this problem, SNPs have been synthesized using various biological moieties including antibiotics, enzymes, polysaccharides, and oligopeptides so as to enhance the antibacterial potential. [9][10][11] In recent years, antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) have emerged as excellent antimicrobial agents to address multidrug resistance in bacteria. 12,13 AMPs act like a "molecular knife" and facilitate the damage to bacterial cell membrane even at low concentrations.…”

“…Generally, it is possible to change the optimal pH, temperature and kinetic parameters for an immobilized enzyme as a result of the immobilized method, support structure and conformation change of enzyme after bounded, making the catalytic site more or less accessible to the substrate [32,33]. The effect of pH on activity of soluble HRP and immobilized HRP was evaluated by incubating these preparations in the buffers of varying pH values ranged from 4.0 to 9.0 ( Figure 6).…”
