Enhancing Kinaesthetic Intelligence Using Project-Based Learning Models

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of projectbased learning models on kinaesthetic intelligence. The population is class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Lembang, a sample of 80 students was taken using simple random sampling. The method used was an experiment with one group pre-test post-test design. The instrument used was a kinaesthetic intelligence test. Students who study physical education with a project-based learning model score t =-3,647, with Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.001. The application of the project-ba… Show more

“…Repetition of basic basketball techniques in conventional learning, such as the 1-minute check pass against the wall and zigzag dribbling of the ball, indirectly eliminates students' enjoyment of learning. This repetition makes students learn in a state of anxiety and reduces students' creative thinking abilities (Aulawy et al, 2022;Ginanjar et al, 2020Ginanjar et al, , 2022Ginanjar & Tarigan, 2018). This makes students less active in learning (Aelterman et al, 2019) because students just follow the teacher's instructions without any challenges to learning.…”

“…The project-based learning model gives students the freedom to plan, implement, and create their own projects to present to the class (Darmuki et al, 2023). There are several reasons why the project-based learning model plays a crucial role in physical education learning, including being able to integrate a series of activities and understanding as evidenced by clear project assignments, especially for health (Pavlovic et al, 2022), and is seen as being able to improve students' social cognition in their learning (Ginanjar et al, 2020(Ginanjar et al, , 2022Umar et al, 2023;Umar & Ko, 2022). The PJBL model developed students' positive attitudes (Kao, 2019), forming an understanding of how students can become independent learners (Li et al, 2023), and being creative and encouraging positive attitudes.…”
