Enraizamento de estacas caulinares e radiculares de Rubus fruticosus tratadas com AIB

Abstract: Rooting of stems and root cuttings of Rubus fruticosus using IBAThe objective of the present work was to evaluate the rizogenic potential for stems and root cuttings of Rubus fruticosus treated with indolbutyric acid. Roots and stems cuttings of this specie were collected in March, and had their basal portions treated with different concentrations of indolbutyric acid (IBA) (1000, 2000, 3000 and 4000 mg L -1 ) for 10 seconds. The control treatment used only water. The stem cuttings were planted with 2/3 of the… Show more

“…Vegetative propagation by stems and root cuttings are the main forms of propagation used in Rubus species because it is possible to obtain large amounts of genetically identical seedlings in a short period [7]. Cutting size and the application of indolebutyric acid (IBA) significantly influence the rooting process and consequently the obtaining of seedlings using the cutting technique [8].…”

“…For Rubus fruticosus it showed a decrease in the percentage of sprouting with the increase of IBA concentrations. The cuttings treated with 4 g.L -1 of IBA showed an average percentage of sprouting (Tadeu et al, 2012).…”

“…According to Silva et al (2012), stem cuttings of raspberry give better results than root cuttings and do not require treatment with IBA. In other species such as Pinus taeda (Alcantara et al, 2008) and Rubus fruticosus L. (Tadeu et al, 2012), the rooting percentage decreases with the supply of IBA.…”
