Background: Data on the age-specific prevalence of Epstein–Barr virus (EBV) infection. According to most studies, by the age of 35, more than 90% of adults are EBV antibody positive. Comparison of demographic groups could identify factors associated with its acquisition. Methods: The Present study conducted in AL-Najaf Holy City; it is a cross sectional study. All patients were recruited from Middle Euphrates Cancer Research Unit Laboratory, from pre-existing samples. Tissues collected from the previously mentioned laboratory were fixed in 10% formalin and placed in a cassette before being embedded in paraffine. The tissues were examined and diagnosed as with Hodgkin disease. forty samples were subjected in the present study. All study group was diagnosed formerly as paraffin imbedding blocks. Histopathological examination using hematoxylin and eosine stain (H&E) then examining under light microscope to check for twenty block samples of tissues with lymphoma. Results: From a total of 40 FFPET blocks were tested. The mean age was 34.92 years. The age group prevalence was as follows: ≤10 years, 2.5%; 10–20 years, 25%; 21–30 years, 22.5%; 31–40 years, 10%; and 41–50 years, 20%; ≥ 50, 20%.

Studying the efficiency of the swim up from pellet technique in reducing antisperm antibody and some cytokine levels in seminal plasma. Semen samples were collected from oligozoospermic and Normozoospermic who attended a fertility center. The collected samples of normozoospermia patients were (15 (and oligospermia patients were (13). antisperm antibody, interlukine-1, interlukine-6, and zinc levels were evaluated in seminal plasma before and after semen processing for all study groups. The results revealed that there was a statistically significant decrease (p < 0.05) in antisperm antibody, interleukin 1Β (IL-β), interleukin (IL-6), and zinc. After sperm preparation by swim up from pellet compared with before sperm preparation, The result illustrates there was a statistically significant decrease (p < 0.05) in sperm concentration and leucocytes count while there was significant increase (p>0.0.5) in progressive motility, normal morphology after preparation by swim up from pellet compared with before the preparation. In concluded Processing by swim-up techniques decreases sperm concentration, and also shows an increase in sperm normal morphology and progressive motility in normospermia, oligospermia, and asthenospermia groups. Antisperm antibody, interleukin 1 (IL-), interleukin 6 (IL-), and zinc levels are all reduced.

Background: The metabolic syndrome including type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM), insulin resistance(IR), obese, hypertension, and dyslipidemia, is an increasing health burden. In the last decade, various metabolic hormones have been noticed to significantly role obese and associated complications. for example of this, the adipokines or hepatokines secreted proteins from hepatocyte and adipocyteare correlate with metabolic syndrome. Angiopoietin-like protein 8 (ANGPTL8) has a novel hepatokine or adipokine, which is mostly expressed in the adipose tissue, and liver stimulates the β-cell proliferation as a pancreatic in an insulin resistance state. It's a recently discovered the endocrine regulator associated with glucose homeostasis, IR, and metabolism of lipid. Materials and Methods: Ninety women participated in this study, comprising sixty patients with diabetes mellitus type-2 and thirty healthy (sex and age - matched) as a control group. Enzyme linked immune sorbent assay (ELISA) was used to assess ANGPTL8 and insulin. Standard procedures were used to measure fasting blood glucose, lipid profile, and glycated hemoglobin (HBA1c) in a certified laboratory. Results: Diabetes patients had higher levels of ANGPTL8 than the control group. The blood ANGPTL8 level in the Type-2 diabetes group varied from 4432.89±1171.09 pg/ml, while the control group's level was 2892.11±537.91pg/dl (p<0.0001).
