Upon optical bleaching of interstitial atomic hydrogen (Hp or U, centres) with polarized light U andH centres (H; and (21% , ) are produced, the latter in an unbalanced distribution which is measured by optical absorption and ESR. Similar results are obtained for bleaching of U, centres in a mixed configuration with one Br-as nearest neighbour (HP(Br)). I n the H centre formation Cl0 is ejected to form a C1, crowdion only into those [110]
