“…Regarding the 13 Mixture of Hispidulin (6) and Isokaempferide (8): Fraction 12 of Far Zone turned out to be a yellow powder that represents a mixture of two flavonoids. This mixture was dissolved in deuterated methanol for testing by 1 H NMR (400 MHz, MeOD) and 13 C NMR (100.1 MHz, MeOD) spectroscopy to determine its structure. The compounds in this mixture were identified and compared with the literature, identifying Hispidulin and Isokaempferide.…”

“…Hispidulin ( 6): Fractions 14 and 9 of the Far Zone sample and the Near Zone sample, respectively, turned out to be a fine opaque yellow powder. It was dissolved in deuterated methanol (MeOD) and subjected to 1 H-NMR (400 MHz, MeOD) and 13 C-NMR (100.1 MHz, MeOD) spectroscopy to determine its structure, identifying the compound Hispidulin. In this way, the 1 H NMR spectrum resulted as follows: δ 7.85 (d, J = 20.01 Hz.…”

“…The genus Chuquiraga Juss. (Asteraceae, Barnadesioideae) encompasses 22 species that grow along the Andes and in Patagonia, primarily in high-elevation habitats. Infusions and decoctions from leaves and flowers of at least 10 species of this genus are used in the traditional medicine of South American countries for the treatment of gastrointestinal, respiratory, and infectious and inflammatory genitourinary illnesses. Three species are commonly sold in traditional medical plant markets of Peru and Ecuador: Chuquiraga jussieui J. F. Gmel., Chuquiraga spinosa D. Don, and Chuquiraga weberbaueri Tovar.…”
