This study aims to identify the views of classroom teachers about primary school first-grade Turkish course curriculum implemented in the 2018-2019 education year and explore teachers' practices in the process of the instruction of first reading and writing. The interview part of the study included five teachers who taught first-grade students in Kayseri in the 2018-2019 education year. The observation part of the study had one classroom teacher who instructed first-grade students. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and observation forms. The data were analyzed using content analysis methods. The analysis results of the interviews regarding the implementation of the curriculum indicated that the teachers found their knowledge about the curriculum insufficient, and they had difficulties in implementing the curriculum. Classroom observations showed that the Teacher performed reading and writing instruction through various activities related to letter, syllable, word, and sentence instruction. The Teacher was found to take individual differences into account while he approached students, managed the lesson, and instructed the course. Teachers should be provided with efficient and comprehensive training about the revised Turkish course curriculum.

Bu araştırma Van ili kırsalında görev yapan sınıf öğretmenlerinin ilkokuma-yazma öğretimine ilişkin görüşlerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Karma araştırma yöntemi ile yapılan bu araştırmada sıralı açıklayıcı desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel verileri küme örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen 215 sınıf öğretmeni ile yürütülmüştür. Nitel veriler ise maksimum çeşitlilik örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen 16 sınıf öğretmeni ile yapılan görüşmelerden elde edilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama araçları olarak anket ve yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada nicel verilerin çözümlenmesinde betimsel istatistikler; nitel verilerin çözümlenmesinde ise betimsel analiz tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmenlerin yeterliklerine ilişkin genel anlamda olumlu görüşe sahip oldukları belirlenmekle birlikte, hizmet öncesi ve hizmet içi eğitim, programın yoğunluğu, ses temelli cümle yöntemi, kırsaldaki okulların koşulları, öğrencilerin hazırbulunuşlukları ve aile katılımı konularında bazı olumsuz görüşlere sahip oldukları tespit edilmiştir.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, ara tatilin ilk okuma yazma öğrenme sürecine yansımalarını öğretmen görüşleri çerçevesinde ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmada temel nitel araştırma deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2019-2020 eğitim-öğretim yılında Samsun ilinin Atakum ilçesine bağlı ilkokullarda görev yapan 24 sınıf öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma grubu maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesi yoluyla belirlenmiş ve Atakum’daki her ilkokuldan bir sınıf öğretmeni çalışmaya dahil edilmiştir. Araştırmada veriler, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu aracılığıyla ve öğretmenlerle yapılan yüz yüze görüşmeler neticesinde elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada, öğretmenlerin görüşlerine göre ara tatilin öğrencilere duyuşsal boyutta etki ettiği ve bu durumun öğrencilerin ilk okuma yazma öğrenme süreçlerini etkilediği sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca ara tatilin ilk okuma yazma öğrenme sürecine etki etmesinde; okul tipi, ebeveyn desteği, teknolojik imkanlar, okul öncesi eğitim, tatil öncesi işlenen ses grubu sayısı gibi birtakım etmenlerin rol oynadığı sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.
