A new tablet form of biologically active food supplement for the multifactorial support of the central nervous system has been developed. It is named Supplement The supplement production technology prevents ingredients oxidative processes due to insignificant moisture content and exclusion of the active oxygen exposure. The biologically active complex facilitates memory retention and information retrieval, accelerates thinking process, and boosts the level of the overall energy potential by improving the central nervous system activity. A balanced combination of active substances (schisandra chinensis, ginkgo biloba) and sedative herbal components (valeriana, motherwort) allows achieving "fine tuning" effect when the above mentioned components act in the best way. These ingredients improve nerve tissue trophism, brain vessels tone, venous outflow and prevent hypertension. Essential and dispensable amino acids in the complex, such as tryptophan, glycine, tyrosine and glutamic acid, make it possible to control neuromediators synthesis and the molecular basis of memory, optimize carbohydrate-fat metabolism, accelerate the process of impulse transmission along the nerve fiber, while avoiding overexcitement. Most of the amino acids in the food supplement have antidepressant effect. Paraaminobenzoic acid reduces mental and physical fatigue and prevents hypoxia in the central nervous system. Another complex ingredient, Inositol, is one of the main nutrient components of the nerve tissue which contributes to its structure restoration. Group B vitamins help replenish energy and ensure its maximum use by the nerve tissue. The paper provides regulated indicators of the nutritional value of a specialized medical product that determine its functional properties. Efficacy was confirmed by clinical trials on a group of patients with angioneurosis. The authors demonstrated hygienic security of the developed product, its shelf life and storage conditions. They also conducted its production testing.

Under conditions of digital economy, in particular, agriculture and food industry, specialized food products, including biologically active food supplements produced from natural raw materials, are increasingly used to improve nutrition and health, and to maintain quality of life. These products are affordable and efficient in coping with metabolism disorders caused by different diseases. Taking all these factors into account the authors developed a pant-based food supplement aimed at improving metabolism of people with type 2 diabetes. The composition of this specialized product is scientifically based in terms of its ingredients and their active substances biochemical and synergetic properties. The innovative production technology of this biologically active food supplement involves pressing its main ingredients and auxiliary substances into tablets. The tablet form provides accurate dosage, convenient packaging and storage, reliable film coating, which ensures tablet hardness and protection from aggressive exposure. The food supplement properties have been determined, including its nutritional value and functional properties. One tablet includes: ascorbic acid – 8.6 mg, chromium -0.1mg, zinc – 2.3 mg, flavonoids – 10mg, tannins – 20 mg, manganese – 0.8mg. Clinical trials proved the supplement efficacy and functional properties. People with type 2 diabetes took 1 tablet of phyto-complex twice a day alongside sugar-lowering drugs. After one month they demonstrated lower levels of blood glucose, total cholesterol and triglycerides as well as better overall health and lower body mass index. The obtained data clearly indicate better pancreas functions, improved microcirculation, carbohydrate and fat metabolism normalizing. The article also provides recommendations of the supplement intake for people with type 2 diabetes and glucose tolerance disorders.

A new type of biologically active dietary supplement -BADS Hepar Formula was developed. The composition of BADS was justified, which proved to have synergistic properties forming a balanced complex for the maintenance of liver metabolic processes, protection and restoration of its cells in conditions of pathological changes. A possible mechanism of participation of functional ingredients of the developed product in relation to metabolic processes in liver diseases is presented. The purpose of the study is to carry out in situ tests of Hepar Formula among children with chronic viral hepatitis. Clinical evidence of functional properties of the new type of biologically active dietary supplement is provided. The therapeutic efficacy of the developed product is studied by including BADS in the diet of 20 children aged 9 to 14 years with chronic viral hepatitis B and C in the integration phase of the infectious process. Clinical symptoms were investigated in the dynamics of dietary therapy. By the end of the treatment, good and satisfactory results were reported in 90% of the children of the main group and 80 % of the control group. The developed product contributes to the improvement of adaptation capabilities of the child's body. Side effects in the application of BADS Hepar Formula are not noted, which is essential for pediatric practice. It is possible to combine the developed product with other drugs. The results of in situ tests showed that the inclusion of BADS into the baseline therapy contributes to reparative processes in liver cells, accelerates tissue regeneration after inflammatory diseases, improves the general condition, has hepatoprotective and anti-inflammatory effects. The new kind of hepatoprotector can be used in prevention and complex treatment of chronic liver diseases. The opinion of the Expert Council of the Russian Federation was received, the developed product is included into the Federal BADS Register.
