“…The crosssections reported by Tárkányi et al [14] show only a partial agreement with the present results, and those reported by Ditrói et al [15] differ significantly from our data. Kulko et al [29] reported the nat Pt(d,x) 195 Au cross-sections in the energy region of 8.5-11.5 MeV, and they showed a good agreement with the present results. The present data agree well with those from the TENDL-2013 library [54] below 12 MeV, but in the higher energy region, only the shape of the excitation function is reproduced by the TALYS 1.4 [55] code.…”

“…This drawback could possibly be overcome by charged particle-induced reactions. A general survey of the literature reveals that only a very few earlier investigations [14, 15,29] were carried out for the production of aforementioned medically and technologically important radionuclides via deuteron irradiations on natural or enriched platinum targets, but large discrepancies are found among the reported data. Therefore, further experimental data are definitely required to reduce the discrepancies, to complement the data needed to optimize the production of medically important radionuclides, and also to improve the predicting capabilities of the nuclear model calculations.…”

“…At the time of our last study on cross section data for nat Pt + deuterons no experimental results were found expect our earlier data (only thick target yield for production of 199 Au in [6]). Since than only two reports were published in [7,8] up to 12 MeV for a few reaction products.…”

“…Measurements of ICSR in similar reactions induced by 3 He [11][12][13] and other projectiles [14] are also presented in literature. However, contrary to α-particle induced ones even the mechanisms of these reactions are not understood.…”
