Experiential Learning Is an Effective Training Model to Improve Self-Esteem

Abstract: Purpose: Professional training is critical to organizational success. Experiential learning was defined as a method for actively engaging trainees in learning processes. That must complete all four stages of the experiential learning model. Kolb’s model requires four abilities for successful learning: concrete experience, reflective observations, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation. Base on, this research aims to assess experiential learning as a method to improve employees’ self-esteem.… Show more

“…As Lewis et al (2013, p. 49) assert, "[a]s scholars increasingly take up such data sets, they may be better served by interweaving computational and manual approaches throughout the overall process to maximize the precision of algorithms and the context-sensitive evaluations of human coders." It was noted that the studies related to education were all conducted during the past decade: Smidt et al (2009), Chang and Chou (2015), Yahya et al (2017), Kazan et al (2019), Liao (2019), Lin and Bazaluk (2020) and Suharto et al (2020). Moreover, Suharto et al (2020) study linked the Kirkpatrick model with school education to evaluate the effectiveness of a school-based disaster risk reduction program in a junior high school in Indonesia.…”

“…Fifteen participants also stated that learners must be allowed to take risks to help them find themselves thus developing self skills. To be involved in meaningful learning, the self should have the freedom to try new things, reflect on them and then adjust the course of action if necessary to attain the desired goals whilst building self-confidence that supports a positive self-concept (Liao 2019 ). The gained self-confidence allows learners to take more academic risks and promotes a feeling of empowerment and emancipation.…”

“…The researcher used this result for a summative evaluation of the effectiveness of experience learning by Kirkpatrick. The consequences of encouraging increased confidence shake up the scientific achievement but in addition to establishing the establishment of self-administration behaviors that can serve students during their lifetime, in academic and vocational efforts [20]. Some studies show the same result in learning achievement [21,22].…”
