Experimental and numerical study of heat transfer in the cultivation of thin-walled parts by coaxial laser melting

Abstract: Computer modeling of the thermal behavior of a thin-walled part made of austenitic 316L stainless steel, grown by coaxial laser melting with variable and constant laser power, has been simulated. The conducted work was aimed at investigating the effect of the number of weld deposit layers and studying the influence of bending radius in heat patterns of the growing zone, taking into account a molten pool volume.
