Experimental assessment of the static stiffness of machine parts and structures by changing the magnitude of the hysteresis as a function of loading

Abstract: Static stiffness is determined by one-sided loading and unloading of machine parts relative to the selected base. For each structure, there will be some loss of potential energy due to the dissipative forces that occur during the loading inside the structure. This loss is manifested in hysteresis in the stiffness diagram. A new approach to the assessment of static stiffness consists in gradual, bilateral loading and unloading of the structure through the effect of static forces of different magnitude. In this … Show more

“…For this reason, application of measures relates mainly to ensuring of reliable and safe technical condition preventing the origination of hazardous event itself (e.g., prevention of leak by preventive maintenance) -the so-called preventive measures [33][34][35][36][37]. To reduce the consequences, tools, trying to reduce the extent of damage after hazardous event origination (e.g., sprinkling, extinguishing, alarm sirens) -the so-called reactive measures, are applied.…”

“…The solidified fiber was then wound on a spool using a winder. Once produced, the fiber was checked visually and also with a measuring device to examine whether it has the required diameter and whether its quality meets the 3D printing requirements [Stejskal 2019]. The created fiber could be used immediately after having been produced in the 3D printing process of components [Guo 2010].…”

“…In the production of new fibers, care has to be taken to ensure that the fibers formed meet mechanical properties such as, e.g. strength and durability [14], [15], [16]. The fibers processed into the test specimens were subjected to tensile tests.…”
