Tnfα is one type of cytokines mainly produced by macrophages, and Fish Tnfα augments the respiratory burst response, upholds the proliferation and development of T cells in fish thymus and enhances migration of immune cells, which plays a critical role in regulating the inflammatory process, although excess Tnfα is detrimental to the host (Li et al, 2020). The above results suggest that dietary enriched EPA and DHA, and especially EPA, contribute to promoting the intestinal immune response in T. ovatus .…”
