“…In order to inform District decisions about how to address each of these focus areas, the PPC research staff authored focus area policy briefs synthesizing the current state of research knowledge and identifying strategies with evidence of effectiveness in improving these student experiences and/or reducing inequities in these areas. 3,4,5 The recommendations in these policy briefs then served as the background for a multi-stakeholder task force. The multi-stakeholder task force provided feedback and prioritized the recommendations, drawing upon both their own relationship and experience with the District and its schools, and on the survey data and research literature summarized in the policy briefs.…”
