“…Dentre os diferentes mecanismos de defesa promovidos pelo silício também há o aumento da atividade de enzimas antioxidantes, como a peroxidase (POD) e superóxido dismutase (SOD), as quais estão relacionadas com a lignificação, sendo a lignina, uma mistura complexa de compostos fenólicos (Boerjan, Ralph & Baucher, 2003;Fleck, et al, 2011;Tesfay et al, 2011;Asgari, et al, 2018).
