Formal verification of bond graph modelled analogue circuits

Abstract: Analog circuits are an increasingly critical component in embedded system designs. Traditionally, simulation is used for verification, but due to the infinite state space of analog components, the 100% correctness of a design cannot be guaranteed. Formal methods, based around applying mathematical expressions and reasoning to prove correctness, have been developed to increase the verification confidence level. This paper introduces and demonstrates a methodology for formally verifying safety properties of anal… Show more

“…For instance, reference [3] is about modeling of analogue circuits, reference [4] is about modeling of hydraulic system, references [5][6] are about the pseudo bond graph models of thermal system, references [7][8] introduce some bond graph modeling examples of thermal systems and references [9][10] are about the application of bond graph modeling method in multiple energy domains. All the above studies have illustrated that the bond graph modeling method is a very effective modeling tool.…”

“…Delayered Integrated Circuit (IC) image analysis through circuit extraction is one of the highly reliable approaches towards hardware assurance, such as failure analysis [1], functional verification [2], intellectual property protection [3] and counterfeits detection [4]. Circuit extraction typically requires several steps including IC package removal, imaging of delayered IC, annotation of circuit components, schematic read-back, and final analysis [5].…”

“…Network reconfiguration, a technique based on changing ON/OFF status of sectionalising switches improves voltage stability of the power network and also manages the problems of overloading of network components. Numerous techniques such as conventional optimisation techniques, heuristic techniques and artificial intelligence techniques are used for network reconfiguration [24][25][26][27]. A proper reconfiguration scheme can reduce the power loss in the network.…”
