Physical activity promotes health, improves the functional state of the respiratory, cardiovascular, nervous, digestive systems and analyzers, regulation of cerebral and peripheral circulation, joint mobility, spinal column, physical development; improves regulatory and adaptive processes; maintains high level of metabolic and energy mechanisms; strengthening of bones and their resistance to stress and trauma; increasing the level of physical fitness, mental and physical performance; ensuring comprehensive harmonious development; positive effect on mental and emotional activity; stimulates the work of internal organs, intellectual activity.
The applicants of the higher education institutions have a lack of physical activity, which negatively affects their health, level of physical development, fitness and performance; causes the development of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular, respiratory and nervous systems, metabolic disorders, deterioration of mental state, reduction of defense mechanisms to adverse environmental influences and immune system activity.
The priority areas for optimizing physical activity are the organization of classes in sports sections in sports and physical activity popular among student youth during the study time for the applicants of the higher education.
The effectiveness of systematic sectional classes in acrobatics, athletics, table tennis and rhythmic gymnastics by the applicants of the higher education institutions is studied.
It is established that systematic sectional classes in acrobatics, athletics, table tennis and rhythmic gymnastics will have a positive effect on health, physical fitness and performance, functional state of systems and activity of analyzers; they are the most effective means of optimizing the motor activity of the applicants of the higher education institutions.
