Thermoelectric is a phenomenon of the temperature difference conversion into electrical energy or vice versa. The phenomenon has been developed into a module so that it can be used as a power generator or as a cooling/heating device. The use of thermoelectric can be further expanded as a system for generating small electrical energy and as a component for compact cooling and heating. If a unidirectional voltage is applied to the thermoelectric module, a temperature difference occurs between the two sides of the module. The cold side can be used as a cooler and the hot side can be used as a heater. Thermoelectric refrigeration technology has been applied in various applications such as beverage coolers and electronic coolers. However, the application of this technology in the vehicle still needs attention because it has good potential. Reviews relating to the application of thermoelectric cooling in vehicles are still not widely discussed, especially in terms of vehicles such as the performance of electric motors and braking. So, in this study, the use of thermoelectric as coolants in large components such as cooling in electric vehicles and braking components are discussed. Basic knowledge of the history, characteristics, performance of thermoelectric are also covered. Studies that had been carried out in several reported topics prove the potential and reliability of thermoelectric.

Berawal dari tekanan angin yang cepat habis atau rendah, ketika dilakukan pengereman berkali-kali pada saat jalan padat merayap. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui kegagalan proses pengereman, agar tidak terulang kembali. Adapun metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan fishbone analysis. Dari hasil penelitian kecelakaan truk yang sering terjadi kegagalan pengereman yang disebabkan oleh tekanan angin rendah, adanya gelembung udara pada minyak rem, muatan berlebih, dan disebabkan kurang pengetahuan pengemudi saat mengendarai mobil truk. Pada kegagalan rem mobil truk HINO FG 235, disebabkan oleh tekanan angin kurang, sehingga mengalami kegagalan proses pengereman. Solusi dalam penelitian ini sebelum mengemudikan truk harus melakukan pengecekan tekanan angin di tangki penampungan, membuang kondensasi pada tangki udara, serta menguji sistem pengereman sebelum dioperasikan.

The main objective of the study was to develop a model and analyze the thermomechanical behavior of the hub material of the vehicle brake disk. The simulation strategy was based on the solution of the three-dimensional problem of the theory of elasticity for the case of effect of external loads and temperature fields on the metal structure element of the vehicle brakes. To solve this type of task of the theory of elasticity, the differential equations of the second order were used for the first time. Adaptation of the proposed model, completed in the article, has proved the correctness of use of these equations in modeling the thermomechanical processes with determination of stresses and displacements in unevenly heated rotary cylinders of the final length. The proposed method can be applied with high efficiency in stress strain state simulation of individual parts of vehicles.
