“…Researchers have proposed several models from the genetic aspect to explain the mechanisms of heterosis including dominance, over-dominance, and epistasis, but none of these models can fully explain this phenomenon ( Jones, 1917 ; East, 1936 ; Yu et al, 1997 ).
