Grain boundary Josephson studies in BiSrCaCuO microbridges

Abstract: High-quality superconducting thin films of Bi2Sr2CaCu2OY have successfully been deposited on MgO (100) substrate using spray pyrolysis technique. Microbridge structures of various dimensions were patterned on the superconducting films using various techniques. A systematic study of the temperature dependence of the critical current (Ic) of the microbridges was carried out to understand the nature of the grain boundary Josephson weak links.
