Groundwater quantitative status assessment in Slovenia

Abstract: PovzetekV prispevku so podani metodolo{ki pristopi in rezultati prve ocene koli~inskega stanja enaindvajsetih teles podzemnih voda v Sloveniji. AbstractThe framework … Show more

“…In this framework, the Slovenian Environmental Agency prepares annual reports on the groundwater quantity status which include the groundwater recharge rates for all 21 Slovenian groundwater bodies quantified with the distributed GROWA model (Andjelov et al 2006;Uhan et al 2010;Uhan 2012). On the regional level, GROWA model results are used for the sustainable development of transboundary groundwater bodies, e.g.…”

“…The same is true for further implementation of the European Water Framework Directive (EU WFD 2000) and the Groundwater Directive (EU GWD 2006). Up to now, only lumped information about groundwater recharge rates in Slovenia is available for all 21 groundwater bodies (Official Gazette of Republic of Slovenia 65/2003Slovenia 65/ , 63/2005Andjelov et al 2006).…”

“…The lithostratigraphy of the Mura-Zala Basin was first interpreted for purposes of oil and gas research in the 1950s-1960s (PleničaR, 1954;ciGit, 1958;vončina, 1966), which was followed by a geological mapping for the Basic Geological Map of Yugoslavia (PleničaR, 1968;Mioč & ŽnidaRčič, 1978, 1998aničić & JuRiša, 1984;ŽnidaRčič & Mioč, 1987;MaRKović & Mioč, 1988). The determination of Miocene formations was based on lithological, biostratigraphical and geophysical markers (naftaPlin, 1966;GRandić et al, 1986;tuRK, 1993;Mioč & ŽnidaRčič, 1996).…”
