“…The politics of Indigenous political enfranchisement in terms of identity, belief schemas and ontological practices foregrounded our work, whereby the analytical frameworks offered by Bourdieu and Foucault enable the application of the probing of connotation and nuance of discourse influencing rationale, process and outcome. In so doing, we raise important questions regarding whether the rebalancing of neo-colonial discourses in favour of assumed marginalized voices goes beyond empowerment, heralding a decisive, if as yet early turn towards the dialectical, in which a Hegelian communality is emphasised (Siep, 2014).
