“…These mechanisms are achieved by regulating the TLR4 signaling pathway, oxidative stress, and lipid metabolism (Xue et al, 2021). Baicalin (Wu et al, 2018b), wogonin (Wu et al, 2019), and hesperitin (Olumegbon et al, 2022) inhibit plaque formation via anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative stress mechanisms, and play roles in protecting blood vessels.…”

“…ROS, derived from the metabolism of oxygen, plays a pivotal role as an important physiological regulator of living organisms (Finkel, 2011); excessive ROS augments intracellular oxidative stress to damage cells (Dan Dunn, Alvarez, Zhang, & Soldati, 2015). Previous researches have shown that HSP has the ability to mitigate of oxidative stress in the cardiovascular system (Olumegbon et al, 2022; Velusamy et al, 2020). Our findings show a high ROS generation in CoCl 2 ‐treated cells consistent with the increase of free radicals in myocardial cell injury, while they were all reversed in HSP‐treated cells (Figure 4).…”

“…However, because the cardiac functions are regulated by a variety of neurotransmitters, hormones, and cytokines, there may be many factors affecting the process, so we further explore the protective mechanism of HSP with H9c2 cardiomyocytes and the isolated rat Soldati, 2015). “…The amplicons were separated on a 1.0% agarose gel. The GAPDH gene served as a normalization control for each gene's relative expression level, and band intensity was quantified using "ImageJ" software [41]. The primer sequences are provided below.…”
