“…They are being aggressively exploited to meet many of the current and future needs in the fields of energy, computing, security, life sciences and healthcare. In fact, more and more new carbon materials continue to be discovered and are artificially prepared [1,2]. Among them, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) [3] is an interesting group of carbon materials grabbing attention nowadays due to their unique optical, electronic, and mechanical properties, along with chemical integrity [4].…”

“…18 These excellent properties indicate that rGO is a potential desensitizing component for high-energy explosives. 19 In recent years, extensive research has been carried out on the preparation and application of graphene nanomaterials in energetic materials. 20,21 Examples of these nanomaterials include insensitive HMX/GO composites, surface-coated insensitive HMX with Viton and GO, HMX coated with graphene oxide by electrostatic self-assembly, graphene nanoplatelet-lead styphnate composites with depressed electrostatic hazards, CL-20 hosted in graphene foam, and insensitive 3-HNIW with binders and graphite.…”

“…Any energetic material, before its direct use in propellant formulations, needs to be tested for its stability, sensitivity and compatibility with additives that help with the processing of the energetic ingredients [9,10]. Besides the advantage of low sensitivity, GUDN burns at an extremely low temperature, which is important in automatic guns where barrel erosion is often a problem [11]. Thermal and compatibility studies of GUDN based compositions are one of the interesting areas in the field of insensitive munition systems.…”
