Creative thinking is an ability of creating a new thought as a result from combination of previous knowledge. It is needed to be developed in the 21st century because it is importance in work world. This study aims to analyze the students’ creative thinking of SMA N 1 Pecangaan on environmental material. The research used observational method. Population is whole students of tenth grade of SMA N 1 Pecangaan. The samples used purposive samplings were X MIA 1, X MIA 2 and X MIA 4 with total number 116 students. The students’ creative thinking was tested by essay test and instrument non-test which is scoring rubric of writing article about environment problems. The result showed that students’ creative thinking of SMA N 1 Pecangaan in answering question is 14.7% very creative, 31% creative, 20.7% creative enough and 33.6% less creative. The students’ ability in writing article showed 0% very creative, 16.4% creative, 30% creative enough, 49.1% less creative and 4.3% not creative. The research concluded that the creative thinking ability of students SMA N 1 Pecangaan is low. The highest aspects of creative thinking that is reached by students are originality and fluency, while the lowest is elaboration.

Tujuan kegiatan PkM ini adalah untuk melatih siswa agar mampu menulis cerpen dengan baik dan menghasilkan karya cerpen yang bernilai sastra. Metode yang digunakan adalah service learning yang terbagi menjadi dua kegiatan yaitu synchronous dan asynchronous. Anchronous terdiri atas penyampaian materi dan presentasi, sedangkan asynchronous berupa bimbingan penulisan cerpen. Peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan PkM ini adalah sebanyak 30 siswa yang menghasilkan sebanyak 30 cerpen. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan ada 3 kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa dalam menulis cerpen antara lain: (1) kesulitan dalam menemukan ide cerpen, (2) pembukaan dalam pengenalan tokoh belum jelas, (3) sering mengulang kata-kata yang sama dalam cerpen, dan (4) penggunaan ejaan yang masih benar, (5) pemilihan kosa kata belum jelas. Respon peserta terhadap kegiatan dapat dikategorikan sangat baik (4,50), sedangkan pengetahuan peserta mengenai cerpen tergolong baik, dengan nilai rata-rata masing-masing 3,00. Hal yang masih perlu diperhatikan oleh siswa dalam menulis cerpen adalah pemilihan alur yang tepat dan pengenalan tokoh dan masalah dalam cerpen di awal cerpen secara analogi. Siswa juga perlu meningkatkan minat baca untuk pemilihan diksi dan kosa kata yang sesuai dalam penulisan cerpen.

In Indonesia, the literacy level of students is still very low, especially in learning Sundanese. This research is motivated by seeing children nowadays who very rarely even forget about cultures, as well as the lack of literacy in Sundanese literary works, including short stories (known as Carpon or Carita Pondok). Therefore, we are looking for ways to increase Sundanese literacy, one of which is by getting used to reading Carpon. The purpose of this study was to find out how far the level of understanding of student literacy after reading Carpon also fosters reading interest in Carpon. This research is descriptive quantitative. The research instrument carried out was in the form of a pre-test and post-test which was carried out by distributing questionnaires (google form) to students via whatsapp groups, the source of data in this study were students of junior high school. The results showed that the pre-test results were 61% of students who answered yes, and 39% of students who answered no and in the post-test 85% of students answered yes and 15% of students answered no. It can be said that the level of student literacy and students' understanding of Carpon reading activities has greatly increased.
