Background: Stunting is based on the index of PB/U or TB/U with a threshold (z-score) ≤ -2 SD. Stunting is not only caused by one factor but is caused by many factors that are interconnected with each other. This study aims to determine the relationship between parenting and maternal knowledge about nutrition with the incidence of stunting in children aged 7-24 months at the Sawah Lebar Health Center in Bengkulu in 2023. Method: The research design used in this study was Descriptive Analytic with Cross Sectional approach and ampelous wasselected by accidental sampling technique with a sample of 52 people. This study used the Chi Square test with a confidence level of 95%. Results: Based on univariate analysis, the results showed that most of the mother's parenting style was good parenting (76,9%), while mother's knowledge about nutrition was mostly good knowledge (78,8%) and children were stunted, namely (15,4%). The results of bivariate analysis showed that there was a association between parenting style and the incidence of stunting with p-value (0,017) and there was a association between nutritional knowledge of mother and the incidence of stunting with p-value (0,001). Conclusion: There is an association between parenting style and nutritional knowledge of mother with the incidence of stunting aged 7-24 months in Sawah Lebar Health Center in Bengkulu City in 2023 Suggestion: Suggestions for mothers are expected to pay attention to the nutritional status of children, especiallypuskesmas to provide counseling to mothers who have children and toddlers about stunting, so that further research is expected on parenting and knowledge Mothers about nutrition by considering other factors that can affect the incidence of stunting such as child intake and infectious diseases.

Toddler Growth in the Working Area of Kuok Public Health Center, Kampar Regency. The first five years of a child’s life are critical for growth and development because these years assist in generating the adult they will become. Data from WHO discovered that in developing countries, almost 45% of children under five suffer from growth and development disorders. Data from Kuok Public Health Center also demonstrated that in the last three years, there was an increase in the cases of malnutrition were 27 toddlers in 2018. Meanwhile, the were 32 cases in 2019 and 44 in 2020. This study aims to examine factors associated with toddler growth in the working area of Kuok Public Health Center, Kampar Regency. It was a cross-sectional study conducted in the working area of Kuok Public Health Center, Kampar regency, Riau Province. It was performed in January 2021. The samples are 60 toddlers aged 12-60 months with a growth chart. They were selected to be the sample of the study through consecutive sampling. A Chi-square test was administered to evaluate the bivariable. Bivariable analysis displayed a relationship among nutritional status (p-value 0.003, OR 8.321), parenting (p-value 0.003, OR 7.342), exclusive breastfeeding (p-value 0.002, OR 9.201), and parental income (p-value 0.031, OR 4.486) with the growth in toddler. In conclusion, the relationship among nutritional status, parenting, exclusive breastfeeding, and parental income with toddler growth was revealed.

Masalah gizi pada hakekatnya adalah masalah kesehatan masyarakat, dan penyebabnya dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor yang terkait satu dengan yang lainnya. Saat anak memasuki periode usia dibawah lima tahun (balita), anak akan sangat membutuhkan kecukupan gizi yang berfungsi sebagai penunjang pertumbuhan dan perkembangan fisiknya. Pada usia tersebut, anak juga sangat bergantung pada orang tua/ibu yang memiliki peran penting dalam pengasuhan dan perawatan anak. Metode penelitian ini yang digunakan adalah analitik cross-sectional dengan total 53 sampel penelitian yang dipilih dalam purposive sampling selama periode Mei hingga Juli 2021. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui pengisian kuisioner terkait karakteristik keluarga, karakteristik anak, pola asuh orang tua, dan data pediatrik berupa IMT (berat badan dan tinggi badan). Hasil analisa Chi-Square variabel pola asuh orang tua dengan status gizi menurut berat badan (BB/U) dan tinggi badan (TB/U) menunjukkan nilai ρ value =0,014, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan pola asuh orang tua dengan status gizi pada anak pra sekolah. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini orang tua/ibu anak disarankan untuk memperhatikan pola asuh dan gizi pada usia anak pra sekolah.
