Qwalala – Monumentale Skulptur aus verklebten Glasblöcken

Abstract: Eine monumentale Glasskulptur der amerikanischen Künstlerin Pae White wurde im Zuge der 57. Kunstbiennale im Museum Le Stanze del Vetro in Venedig auf der Insel San Giorgio Maggiore am 12. Mai 2017 der Öffentlichkeit präsentiert. Das Kunstobjekt Qwalala ist eine 75 m lange und bis zu 2,40 m hohe geschwungene Glaswand, welche aus über 1.700 massiven Glasblöcken besteht und vor Ort zu einer tragenden Struktur verklebt wurde.
