It would be useful for researchers, practitioners, and decision-makers to anticipate the hazards that workers will face in the future. The focus of this study is a systematic review of published information to identify and characterize scenarios and hazards in the future of work. Eleven bibliographic databases were systematically searched for papers and reports published from 1999 to 2019 that described future of work scenarios or identified future work-related hazards. To compile a comprehensive collection of views of the future, supplemental and ad hoc searches were also performed. After screening all search records against a set of predetermined criteria, the review yielded 36 references (17 peer-reviewed, 4 gray, and 15 supplemental) containing scenarios. In these, the future of work was described along multiple conceptual axes (e.g. labor market changes, societal values, and manual versus cognitive work). Technology was identified as the primary driver of the future of work in most scenarios, and there were divergent views in the literature as to whether technology will create more or fewer jobs than it displaces. Workforce demographics, globalization, climate change, economic conditions, and urbanization were also mentioned as influential factors. Other important themes included human enhancement, social isolation, loneliness, worker monitoring, advanced manufacturing, hazardous exposures, sustainability, biotechnology, and synthetic biology. Pandemics have not been widely considered in the future of work literature, but the recent COVID-19 pandemic illustrates that was short-sighted. Pandemics may accelerate future of work trends and merit critical consideration in scenario development. Many scenarios described ‘new’ or ‘exacerbated’ psychosocial hazards of work, whereas comparatively fewer discussed physical, chemical, or biological hazards. Various preventive recommendations were identified. In particular, reducing stress associated with precarious work and its requirements of continual skill preparation and training was acknowledged as critical for protecting and promoting the health and well-being of the future workforce. In conclusion, the future of work will be comprised of diverse complex scenarios and a mosaic of old and new hazards. These findings may serve as the basis for considering how to shape the future of work.

Penyandang disabilitas memiliki keterbatasan untuk melakukan kegiatan secara normal. Dalam pembahasan ini, khususnya penderita disabilitas dengan cacat fisik tangan untuk akses televisi. Keterbatasan yang dimiliki oleh penyandang disabilitas untuk akses televisi dapat diatasi dengan alat bantu berupa wireless remote sandal berbasis gerakan kaki. Alat ini menggunakan sensor MPU-6050 yang mempunyai 5 fitur yaitu Channel up (CH+), Channel down (CH-), Volume up (V+), Volume down (V-) dan Power. Data hasil pembacan sensor diolah pada mikrokontroler Arduino Nano, kemudian mengirimkan sinyal menggunakan infra red berupa protokol data yang diterima oleh televisi. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian keseluruhan, remote sandal dapat berfungsi dengan baik dalam membantu penyandang disabilitas khususnya cacat fisik pada tangan untuk menonton televisi dengan hasil akses fitur dari remote sandal. Remote ini dapat bekerja pada jangkauan 330 cm. Fitur power dari remote sandal dapat mengakses televisi dengan sudut 60° sampai 140°, fitur channel up dengan sudut 30° sampai 90°, fitur channel down dengan sudut 30° sampai 100°, fitur volume up dengan sudut 35° sampai 90°, dan fitur volume down dengan sudut 30° sampai 50°.

Health equity understood as the ability to live a healthy life, to have a good life, is impacted by many social determinants and by the social marginalization of various groups. "Measures" that use indicators to cover social determinants of a good life are useful tools to audit the impact of neuro-advancements on health equity. In this scoping review, I covered over 50 neurotechnologies, neuroenhancement, artificial intelligence (AI) machine learning (ML), robotics, neuroethics, neuro-governance and neurotechnology governance and various "measures" that focus on the ability to have a good life to answer three research questions: 1) Are the "measures" engaged with in the academic literature covering health equity or the chosen technologies? 2) Does the academic literature focusing on the technologies covered, neuroethics, or neurotechnology governance engage with health equity? 3) To what extent does the academic literature focusing on the technologies covered engage with the different primary and secondary indicators of four of the "measures" (social determinants of health, Better Life Index, Canadian Index of Well-Being, and community-based rehabilitation matrix)? For the scoping review, I examined the academic literature present in SCOPUS, which includes all Medline articles, and the 70 databases accessible under EBSCO-HOST and I employed a quantitative hit count approach for the analysis. I found that the term "health equity" was only mentioned in conjunction with the terms "determinants of health" and "social determinants of health" in a substantial way. Three of the terms linked to the "measures" were each mentioned in less than 10 abstracts and 16 terms linked to the "measures" were not mentioned at all in conjunction with the term "health equity". Health equity was also rarely to not at all mentioned in conjunction with the different technologies covered and not at all in conjunction with the terms "neuroethics", "neurotechnology governance" or "neuro-governance". Finally, there was uneven engagement with the primary and secondary indicators of the four chosen "measures" in conjunction with the technologies covered. The results reveal vast opportunities at the intersections of neuroethics and neuro-governance and science and technology governance in general, health equity, social justice, and wellbeing discourses.
