“…The findings are in line with previous work that indicated positive effects of complying with WCAG to improve the level of accessibility. 6,8,52 Those previous studies found also that both nondisabled and disabled users would benefit from higher accessibility levels, so this is also expected (although not explored here) for our web application. Moreover, it is worth noting that principles 2 and 6 of SPI Manifesto 53 can be distinguished in the proposed software process.…”

“…with visual impairments, it would be interesting in future research to compare effects of accessibility design patterns on both nondisabled users and users with visual impairments rather than focusing on disabled users alone. This comparison will allow us to achieve a deeper understanding of the co-relation between accessibility and usability as suggested by Schmutz et al 8 Finally, future research should include an extensive validation of the four proposed accessibility design patterns with experts and more users before publishing them in an online software patterns library.…”

“…Any software should be accessible by normal users and those with special needs. Software accessibility is extremely important and will always be quite challenging for software designers, they need to ensure that people with disabilities can get full access to a system so they can interact, navigate, perceive, and understand it [11]. In order to achieve accessibility, software designers and developers take into consideration the fact that the ability to see, hear, interact with the system, read text or process information varies from user to user.…”

“…En [22] se lleva a cabo un análisis comparativo de las diferentes normas de accesibilidad de Estados Unidos con las de la OCDE y las de la Unión Europea con el fin de observar qué pautas de accesibilidad se aplican para personas mayores. Mientras que en el artículo [23] se presenta un estudio en el que se busca identificar los efectos en usuarios sin discapacidades y con discapacidades al implementar las directrices de accesibilidad dentro de un sitio web.…”
