Abstract:This study evaluated the efficacy of chloramination to inactivate fungi isolates (Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus terreus, Cladosporium tenuissimum, Penicillium citrinum, and Phoma glomerata) reported to occur in drinking water sources with different compositions. Inactivation rate constants were determined for laboratory‐grade water and real treated surface water samples, with higher rate constants than are often reported in laboratory‐grade water. The effects of conducting disinfection at different temper… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
