Influencing variables on 3D measured foot length during gait in children and adolescents

Abstract: The maximum horizontal force ( force-plate) in the running direction coincided with the moment at which the forefoot studs ceased to travel posteriorly and instead moved anteriorly (3D tracking). This was considered the time of peak push-off and showed agreement between force-plate data and 3D tracking results. The ratio of horizontal to vertical force was greatest at the end of contact.
