Innovation of Novel Stone-Like Perovskite Structured Calcium Stannate (CaSnO3): Synthesis, Characterization, and Application Headed for Sensing Photographic Developing Agent Metol

Abstract: Inorganic perovskite-based alkaline earth oxide materials for electrochemical sensing devices are an unwrapped research field yet to be studied. Herein, we designed a novel perovskite-type calcium stannate (CaSnO3) material with stone-shaped structural morphology synthesized by a simple coprecipitation method with the aid of urea and utilized as an electrocatalyst for the electrochemical detection of photographic developing agent metol (MT). The synthesized CaSnO3 was systematically characterized with the help… Show more

“…In addition to that, the O 1s peak was deconvoluted at a binding energy of 535.77 eV; it confirms the loosely bound oxygen species on the surface. 42 The acquired XPS results are in good agreement with those in previously reported articles. Based on the literature review, the relative percentage of oxygen in the surface determines the quantity of oxygen vacancies.…”

“…Figure B shows the high-magnified spectrum of Pr deconvoluted with the respective binding energies at 936.92 and 956.82 eV, indicating the presence of Pr 3+ , such as Pr 3d 5/2 and Pr 3d 3/2 , correspondingly . Consistently, the high-magnified spectra of Sn 3d (Figure C) exhibit a peak at 489.61 and 498.01 eV attributed to the ionic state of Sn 4+ such as Sn 3d 5/2 and Sn 3d 3/2 . The O 1s spectra (Figure D) give well-defined peaks with the binding energies at 533.50 and 535.77 eV corresponding to the coordination of metal–oxygen bonds (Sn–O and Pr–O).…”

“…Well, oxidation and reduction peak was observed at the bare electrode, which designates the calibration of Cyclic Voltammetry. 28 The voltammogram of pristine and Fe: MnSnO 3 are shown in 29 Which means that these type of capacitors store maximum charge and might be used for supercapacitors.…”

“…On the other hand, due to the continuous demand for fabricating a suitable electrocatalyst, binary metal oxides have attracted much attention in recent years because of the poor stability of the undoped single metal oxide which can also suffer greatly for practical operations. Besides, the binary metal oxides have also been widely used in numerous potential applications owing to their remarkable physicochemical, structural, and electronic properties and considerable active surface area and long-term storage stability. The versatile behavior and unique structural phenomena of stannate (Sn 2 O 7 ) have been of substantial interest in various applications because of its semiconducting nature, low cost, and decent cyclability. However, the undoped Sn 2 O 7 still have a problem in electrochemical investigations due to its high-volume expansion and poor conductivity. , In the past two decades, great progress has been made in superstructures of A 2 B 2 O 7 -type pyrochlore oxide by many researchers in various potential applications like oxygen generation catalysts in Li air batteries, as a host in inert matrix fuels and thermal barrier coatings, and nuclear materials.…”
