IntroductionExcessive internet and mobile cell phone use has been increasing in recent years especially in teenagers who are a vulnerable population. However, there is a lack of psychometric evaluation of instruments that allow to identify behavior regarding problematic use of the internet and cell phones in the Latin America, particularly in Ecuador. The main aim of this study is to examine the psychometric properties of two instruments: the Internet-related experiences questionnaire (IREQ) and Mobile-related experiences questionnaire (MREQ) in high school students (n = 4, 174, Mage = 15.63; 51.19% male and 48.37% female).MethodsThe validation process was performed using one and two factors for both questionnaires according to previous literature. After checking the models proposed to date, the best fit model was the one-factor model for (IREQ) and one-factor model for (MREQ).Results and discussionThe invariance was performed using two samples according to gender (male, female) and has been confirmed with an acceptable internal consistency for both questionnaires. For IREQ (All, ω = 0.80; Male, ω = 0.77; Female, ω = 0.82) and for MREQ (All, ω = 0.83; Male, ω = 0.82; Female, ω = 0.84). In addition, we performed the correlation analysis between IREQ, MREQ, and socio-demographic variables and finally, both instruments demonstrated strong psychometric qualities within the local population.

Technology addiction is a worldwide problem that brings with it negative biopsychosocial consequences. The appropriate use of information and communication technologies from primary education would enable students to develop digital competence, which implies being an autonomous, effective, responsible, critical and reflective person when selecting, processing and using information and its sources, as well as its technological tools. The objective was to elaborate psycho-pedagogical actions for the prevention of technological addictions in elementary school students. For the development of the research, the dialectical-materialistic method was used, as well as theoretical and empirical methods. Twenty-two updated bibliographies related to the topic were used. The proposed psycho-pedagogical actions constitute a theoretical contribution to the prevention of technological addictions in elementary school students, contributing to the improvement of the educational act by taking into account the potentialities and difficulties of learning, as well as the individual characteristics of the students

El estudio plantea investigar recursos que puedan ser empleado por los docentes para evolucionar en sus clases y así modificar la enseñanza tradicional, de tal forma que sea atrayente para el estudiante y desplieguen destrezas en el desarrollo de la escritura; el objetivo fue promover el uso del Book Creator como herramienta didáctica para motivar la escritura en estudiantes de básica media. La metodología aplicada se establece mediante un programa cuasi-experimental; se trabajó con un grupo control y un grupo experimental, el instrumento aplicado fue un cuestionario que consta de 10 preguntas de opción múltiple sobre la evaluación de escritura para estudiantes de básica media de la Unidad Educativa Josué Elementary School; posteriormente se proyecta una propuesta de intervención con actividades y recursos narrativos mediante Book Creator de cinco sesiones alineadas fundamentalmente al grupo experimental. Los resultados evidencian una mejora sustancial posterior a la aplicación de la herramienta, como conclusión se destaca la importancia de generar métodos de enseñanza virtuales, como un vínculo para transmitir el conocimiento y motivación de la escritura a las futuras generaciones.
