Invasive activity of Galega orientalis Lam. in the presence of deposits in the southwestern part of the Central Russian Upland

Abstract: The paper presents research into invasive activity of a model popu lation of Galega orientalis, formed on deposits in the Central Russian Upland. It was found that the studied population did not show high invasiveness. Individual individuals that survived in com petition with native grasses had a num ber of properties in the rhizosphere that distinguished them from the entire original population. It was found that the form s of G. orientalis that survive when grow n together in com petition with cereals can po… Show more

“…The selection of efficient microorganisms and the seeds' thin film coating provided protection against soil pathogens after sowing. The roots and mycorrhiza were enveloped and protected by a microbial consortium, subsequently forming the rhizosphere [66]. The consortium, obtaining sugars and performing protective functions more intensively, e.g., producing antibiotics as well as decomposing organic matter, being involved in the biogeochemical cycle, provides plant nutrition [67,68].…”

“…Research of this kind is poorly developed, not only in economic but also political documents. Against the background of existing works devoted to the study of large forests [27,28], only a small number of studies on the economic assessment of specific, mainly anti-erosion, advantages of agroforestry [29][30][31] stand out. We also attempt to provide an economic estimation of the ecosystem services of wetlands based on international assessment methodologies [32].…”
