“…In the making of the SDH, Brazilian subtitlers use the software Subtitle Workshop 6.0b and the parameters available in the Guide for Affordable Audiovisual Productions (2016). In this guide, there are guidelines for professionals working in the field, based on subtitling theorists (IVARSSON and CARROLL, 1998;KARAMITOGLOU, 1998;DIAZ-CINTAS and REMAEL, 2007;NEVES, 2007) and academic research (ARAÚJO & NASCIMENTO, 2011;CHAVES, 2012;GABRIEL, 2013;ARAÚJO and ASSIS, 2014;ARRAES, 2015;FRANCO and CHAVES, 2015;ARAÚJO, 2015;VIEIRA et al, 2015) that also supported this research.
