Investigation of 90sr Acumulation in Pinewood (Pinus Sylvestris L.)/90sr Kaupimosi Paprastosios Pušies (Pinus Sylvestris L.) Medienoje Tyrimas/Накопление 90sr В Древесине Простой Сосны (Pinus Sylvestris L.)

Abstract: The paper presents changes of 90Sr activity in pinewood (Pinus sylvestris L.), which in studied conditions varies from (0,03±0,01) Bq/kg to (2,32±0,34) Bq/kg. Activity was defined experimentally and by modelling, using the model FORM. The measured results and those established by the model differ averagly by 13%. For definition of the accumulated 90Sr activity in wood of a simple pine, the method of summarization of activity integrals was used after establishment of function of dependence between 90Sr activiti… Show more

“…In the case of radioactive balance, the measured 90 Y activity in the sample equals 90 Sr activity. Formulae, used for calculation of 90 Sr activity, are given in (Butkus et al 2008;Pliopaitė Bataitienė et al 2007) works andLAND 64-2005. 137 Cs specific activity in Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) rings was determined according to the methods, described in LAND 36-2000 "Measuring of Contamination of Environmental Elements -Gamma Spectral Analysis of Specimens with a Spectrometer, Possessing a Semiconductor Detector".…”

“…Remiantis mokslininkų patirtimi, užtaršos kiekiui nustatyti vienas iš tinkamiausių objektų yra deponuojančios terpės, todėl panaudojant jų koncentracines savybes galima ištirti susikaupusius sunkiųjų metalų kiekius (Butkus et al 2008). Žvelgiant iš ekotoksikologinės perspektyvos padidėjusios sunkiųjų metalų koncentracijos bioindikatoriuose yra žmogaus veiklos rezultatas, darantis žalą gyviesiems organizmams (Christensen 1995).…”

“…Tree root ability to take up TMs from the soil and atmosphere enables trees to be used as biological indicators, capable to accumulate TMs in tree rings and, thus, hold a record of environmental contamination data (DeWalle et al 1995;Butkus et al 2002Butkus et al , 2008White, Tard 2002;Ozolinčius 2004). High correlation between concentrations of TMs in the soil and xylem rings has been reported (Larison, Helmisaari 1998).…”
