“…Each Cr has six nearestneighbor sulfurs and two Nb (4f ) atoms at distances of 2.35 and 3.06 Å, respectively (see Figs. 1(a,b)) 11 . In this cluster unit CrS 6 -Nb 2 the local symmetry around Cr is approximately D 3d and the Cr 3d orbitals show an energy splitting t 2g →e g +a 1g as in Fig.…”

“…In CrNb 3 S 6 , although the MCA has been known to be easy-plane type 6 , the orbital magnetic moment has never been measured experimentally. Indeed, the magnetic ordering temperature T c of CrNb 3 S 6 was evaluated to be approximately 130 K 6,11,13 . Recently, the interplane exchange interaction along the chiral c axis (J /k B = 16.2 K), the DM interaction (D/k B = 1.29 K), and the easy-plane anisotropy (K perp /k B = 1.02 K) have been evaluated from the ESR experiment 14 , showing fair agreement with the estimated values from the magnetization curve 15 .…”

“…When external magnetic field is applied properly along certain direction, the chiral helimagnetic ordering phase can be modulated into topological spiral spin-textures, which exhibit characteristics of quasi-particles with nanoscale [1][2][3]. Moreover, these topological spiral spin-textures can be delicately manipulated and tuned by means of magnetic field [9], microwave [12], electric current [13][14][15], pressure [16], and dimensional confinement [17].…”

“…The pressure induced electronic structure modification can have either a direct impact on the physical properties or can lead first of all to a crystal structure transformations (see e.g. 17,18 ). As a direct impact one can mention the pressure induced changes of the magnetic and transport properties of Co 1/3 NbS 2 19 as well as an enhancement of the superconducting properties of Fe x NbS 2 20 reported recently.…”
