Karakteristik Kuantitatif dan Jarak Genetik Beberapa Galur Ayam Lokal

Abstract: Abstract The research of this study aims to know quantitative characteristics and genetic distance of several local chicken strains. The research material is Super chicken, KUB chicken, and Kampung chicken. The method used was an experiment with a sample of 82 chickens from each strain. Retrieval of BW and AVG data are collected every month until the age of 2 months, while body measurements are taken at the age of 2 months. The data collected are quantitative characteristics includes body weight, weight … Show more

“…The absence of polymorphism in the livestock studied could be due to limited sample size, the presence of null alleles, or the selected loci having low effectiveness [30]. The results of this observation are similar to the observations of [26], who stated that the Bangkok chickens observed were monomorphic because only 1 allele and 1 genotype were found.…”

“…These results show that the amplification carried out was appropriate, and there was no contamination from other materials. Amplification of appropriate genes indicates appropriate temperature optimization [24,25,26].…”

“…The ambient temperature and relative humidity in the pens fluctuate, starting at 10 AM the temperature will increase during the day and decrease at 6 PM, while the relative humidity starting decrease at 10 AM and increase at 6 PM. Fluctuations can occur due to the exchange energy processes in the atmosphere, during the day there when absorption of energy from solar radiation which causes the ambient temperature in the air to increase and decrease the relative humidity during the day [5]. The temperature of the study results is still classified as normal, which is between 25 to 37 °C [12].…”

“…During the day the high temperature will make the heat in the body of cattle rise, causing an increase in air discharge through the respiration ducts [15]. The type of rearing cage is one of the things that needs to be considered, because the cage material can absorb sunlight during the day, resulting in an increase in the rectal temperature of livestock [5,17]…”
