“…However, an adjustment in agricultural policy as a result of changes in the market system has led to a significant decrease in the total amount of agricultural land used in Kazakhstan, with a 35% reduction in the area of arable land since independence in 1992 (SWINNEN & VAN HERCK, 2011).
